Trilobite, Agnostid – a nice plate with 7 small trilobites on it. this trilobite is one of the smallest species measuring only 6mm (1-4 in). The matrix measures 40mm x 40mm (1-3/4 in). 550 million years old, Millard County, Utah
The trilobites of Order Agnostida (pronounced Ag-nós-t-eh-da)appeared in the Lower Cambrian where they were diverse and ubiquitous, and declined to become rare in the Ordovician prior to their complete extinction by the end of the Ordovician. They are one of the smallest trilobites.
