Terra-Cotta Taino Phallic spouted bottle from Puerto Rico
This nice bottle dates from the Late Classic Period 1200-1400AD.
Measures 7″x6″ (17.7cm x 15.25cm)
A nice Taino bottle with a humanoid face with the characteristic large eyes and great design featured on the reverse of the piece. Nice all original piece free of repairs, with a light surface crack that does not show on the inside of the vessel, but otherwise a fine looking artifact with great coloration and smooth well age surface.
The Taino were the first peoples Christopher Columbus met when he arrived to New World.
