Description
Fossil Leaves 300 Million years old. White Fossil Pecopteris leaves in black shale from the Pennsylvanian Epoch in the Carboniferous period. The shale matrix measures 185mm by 110mm (7 in x 4-1/2 in) and is covered with several different kinds of leaves on both sides with other leaves in the layers in between. The reverse has a large patch of bark. A stunning display fossil. St Claire Pennsylvania
