Dactylioceras ammonite communes in country rock are from Schlaifhausen, Germany are a widespread genus of ammonites from the Jurassic Period of the Mesozoic Era approximately 172 million years ago. Dactylioceras are abundant throughout Europe, with exceptionally fine Dactylioceras specimens found in Germany and England.
